Marilinda

You may have heard about what's happening in Wisconsin.  I taught French and future French teachers at one of the University of Wisconsin campuses for 14 years.  All told, I taught college French for 20 years.

My husband taught Anthropology and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin for 38 years. Both of us were proud members of The Association of University of Wisconsin Professionals and Tom was a union officer.  Tom and I stand with the teachers.  Our governor is weak.  Unwillingess to compromise is a sign of weakness in a politician, not strength.

Spring is in the air!  Okay, no but these socks are the color of the first violets that will pop up on our lawn in about ...two months' time.

The socks are Marilinda from Cookie A's new book Knit. Sock. Love.  Cables!  Lace!  Look at that heel! You can see they were crazy fun to knit. The yarn languished in my stash for a handful of years.  It's Opal UNI and part of a super-saver grab bag of Opal sock yarns from Little Knits.
