Tiny Tea Leaves Cardi

Finally, there is photogenic knitting to show you!  We have a little girl's first birthday coming up and you know that calls for something neat, sweet, and petite...

Tiny Tea Leaves Cardi, modified to have short sleeves

And also machine-washable!  It's a bit much to expect a toddler's mom to wash clothes any other way.  To that end, the yarn is Cascade 220 Superwash in a medium-lightish pink.  Maybe you recognize it from the College Afghan I made for Cleo last year.  The sweater required 1 1/4 balls.

I switched out the long sleeves for short sleeves.  This kind of yoke looks very cute over a long-sleeved shirt, maybe even a turtleneck next fall.

The tiny cute buttons I picked up at a tiny cute fabric store in Healdsburg, California.  If you're in Wine Country,  Healdsburg makes a nice stop for lunch and window shopping, then coffee in the main square and dog watching as the locals walk their dogs.
